Hiking in the Mullerthal / Consdorf region
“Hiking in the Mullerthal region, with visits to two of the most popular sights: the ”Kuelscheier” and the ”Schiessentümpel”.
The “Kuelscheier” is a spectacular cave / crevice directly on the “Mullerthal Trail 2”. Hikers must immerse themselves in total darkness before finding their way out (or you could bring a torch…). We will explore other caves, viewpoints and amazing rock formations nearby, and learn a little about how this fantasy landscape was formed. Afterwards, we will take a small trip by minivan to arguably the most famous – and certainly the most photographed – sight in the Mullerthal: the Schiessentümpel – a small but beautiful waterfall crowned by a fairy-tale arched bridge. Meeting point is the car park at “Consdorf Millen”, just outside the village of Consdorf on the road to Christnach. The terrain is rocky and undulating: good hiking shoes are recommended. Children love to visit the Kuelscheier, but care needs to be taken in certain places. Recommended age: 5 years and over.”
