Description
The Remerschen Lakes are a protected area that belongs to the Natura 2000 network. Located on the border between Luxembourg and Germany, this place that was once a sand extraction field, has become a nature reserve since 1998. We are going to make a pedestrian circuit that it is about 12 km long and has a great wealth of flora and fauna. In the middle of our adventure, we found a challenge with 580 steps (optional), but whoever does it will feel the reward of seeing a splendid landscape, composed of vineyards and charming hills. Along our walk, you will have the opportunity to enter several birdwatching posts and observe the vegetation of moist soils. This hike is a roller coaster of emotions and admiration for nature.
Anyone who wants to can bathe in the Remerschen lakes, but will have to book online.

Recommendations and practical advice
For this walk, bring hiking clothing adapted to the season. Take water and an individual snack consisting of sandwiches, fruit or energy bars, among others.
