The value charter

  • Meetings between the “guide” and the “visitor” are voluntary.

  • “Guides” welcome groups of “visitors” of approximately 6 persons. The tours are limited to a total of 10 people (“guide”, “participants” and supervising staff included).

  • Respect for the landscape, the humans, the flora and fauna comes first. Precaution and safety for all must furthermore be guaranteed at every moment.

  • It is important for both “guides”  and “visitors“ to stay on the waymarked tracks throughout the entire duration of the tour or activity in public forests.

  • A tour lasts approximately 90 minutes.

  • Tours are entirely free of charge, original and unusual, not competing with guided tours offered by Tourist Offices.

  • “GUIDE FOR ONE DAY” favours mutual enrichment and cultural exchange between individuals.

  • “GUIDE FOR ONE DAY” falls within the framework of sustainable and participating tourism respecting the environment and mankind. It plays a roll in the cultural and economic enrichment of local communities and contributes to the positive image of Luxembourg as a destination.

  • We kindly request “guides”  to refrain from car- or motorbike tours for a more sustainable and enjoyable experience.

  • Tours are exclusively private and public liability is assumed by each of the parties. The Ministry of the Economy – General Directorate for Tourism, and Luxembourg for Tourism as well as all the Regional Tourist Offices may in no event be held liable for any incident whatsoever which occurs during tours which they are unable to supervise and in which they play no part.

  • The participant expressly agrees that any photos of people or the surrounding area taken during his/her participation in the “GUIDE FOR ONE DAY” project may be used by the Directorate General for Tourism and by any institution and organisation linked to the organiser (Luxembourg for Tourism, Regional Tourist Offices, the Luxembourg City Tourist Office) for promotional purposes, on brochures, posters, press releases, websites, social networks, etc.) without any compensation to the participant. This consent can be withdrawn at any time.

  • The personal data collected in the framework of this project are processed in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (hereinafter the GDPR) and in accordance with the right to image.

    Under the GDPR your rights are the right to information, the right of access, the right of rectification, the right of erasure, the right of objection and the right of restriction.

    You have the possibility to submit a complaint to the Data Protection Officer of the Ministry for Tourism (dpo@eco.etat.lu) or to the National Commission for Data Protection, Complaints Department, 15, Boulevard du Jazz, L-4370 Belvaux.

Participate as a visitor
